Originally a leading software engineer with the BBC, Coran was instrumental in the design and development of the Radio Data System (RDS), now a standard feature on nearly every new FM radio. It was here that Coran also mastered skills in PC application design, working with complex customer specifications to deliver simple and effective solutions, some of which are still in use today at Broadcasting House.

Coran’s work on interfaces for everything from British Sign Language CD-ROMS, to print management software and school-support solutions, has also taught Coran the value of intuitive menu and navigation design.
